Common questions

How do I add a lunar birthday?

Go to 我家 (My Home) → 添加家里的日子 (Add a family date). Enter a name, select Birthday, Lunar and yearly recurrence. Choose the month, day and leap-month rule, review future dates, then save.

Why did I not receive a reminder?

Check notification permission in iPhone Settings, the reminder switch for that occasion, advance reminder days and the default reminder time. Open Zancuo after granting permission. The app schedules up to 63 date reminders at once, so reopen it periodically to refresh future reminders.

Can I use the iPhone Calendar app?

In 我家 (My Home) → 设置 (Settings), enable 写入系统日历 (Write to system calendar) and grant calendar access. Zancuo maintains the next year of events in its dedicated calendar. Your system calendar account manages these exported events.

How do I move my records to a new phone?

On the old phone, use 我家 → 备份与分享 (My Home → Backup & sharing) to export a full backup to a location you choose. Import it on the new phone and check the result before removing old data. Version 1 does not provide automatic cross-device sync.

What if my family follows a different tradition?

The public material is for reference. Practices vary between places and families. Record your own practice and arrangements on the occasion’s detail screen. To suggest a correction to regional content, you can include public sources in your email.

How do I add a widget?

Open Zancuo and follow an occasion or add a family date first. Then add 咱厝日子 from the iPhone Home Screen widget gallery. Small and medium widgets are supported. Tap an occasion to open it in the app.

Is there a larger text option?

Enable 大字模式(长辈适用) (Large text mode) in 我家 → 设置 (My Home → Settings). The calendar changes to a day-by-day list and respects larger system text settings.

Which devices and languages are supported?

The app runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or later and supports Simplified and Traditional Chinese. This website also has English information; the app does not currently have an English interface.
